Self respect, self responsibility and self authorship.

These three concepts set the foundations of how we want to show up in the Happy [xxx] Lab. There aren't only way to interpret these concept because it is only you who know what this means to you. Therefore as a part of your learning journey spend time with these concepts and try to feel into what does this actually mean to you and create ownership of these concept.

An example: We have all stayed a little too long at a party because a friend said "argh come on buddy, just stay for one more beer" - even though we were tired and actually wanted to go home. In this situation you didn't respect yourself, not did you live up to your own responsibility to articulate this need or took authorship and went home.

Self respect:

Respect your self. It is only you who can set your own boundaries of what feels right and wrong to you. Respect who you are, means respecting all that you are. Respecting both your gifts, your limits and your potential, will guide and influence your actions in different ways.

Self responsibility:

Be responsible towards your self. Articulate when you don't feel you are respecting yourself and take the needed actions to live into this responsibility. It is you responsibility that your respect yourself. Very important is to let go of your ego and not letting you responsibility be driven by putting your own need first.

Self authorship:

Take the needed actions for you to live up to your own responsibility of respecting yourself. You're the only one who can make it happen. Self authorship is about taking ownership of respecting yourself and taking ownership of your responsibilities towards yourself. You're the author !

A starting point to start owning these concept is to look into when didn't you live into these concepts, and ask yourself how would you like to do it different in the future.
